We're living through a rough spot. Worse, we're being confronted with our own indifference to suffering and want that has allowed the wicked to gain an advantage. But the good news is that God loves us perfectly and unconditionally (through the blood of His only son, Jesus) than we can ever understand, and He also gave us dogs - the perfect example of how to love to and receive love.
His loving kindness defies understanding, and soothes our aching hearts. There is mercy that is being offered to all of us who've sinned - a quality and quantity of mercy which none of us can ever earn through good works or just 'being good'. The third book of Ephesians verses 14-21 perfectly summarizes the mercy, grace and love of God, thus,
