Nestled between the west Norfolk and Lincolnshire border, Tilney All Saints is a quintessential English village with a rich history dating back to the thirteenth century. Founded by the Knights Templar, the village is home to the majestic All Saints Church, one of the renowned “Marshland Gems.”

This chapter clip delves into the legend of King John, the patron of the Knights Templar, who was forced to sign the Magna Carta and fled from his rebellious barons. With a large baggage train of treasures, including his crown and countless coins, King John attempted to cross the Fens, only to be caught in a tidal surge that swept away many souls and treasures into the marshlands or the dark depths of The Wash.

Though the king escaped death that day, he soon fell ill with dysentery and died. His jewels were never recovered, and some say they are cursed by God for the king’s sins. The Templars suspected murder most foul and vowed one day they would rise again…
