A Tiger by the Tail! "Man-Eater of Kumaon" (1948) Movie Review

The Barkster hunts down a picture for you based on a book by adventurer Jim Corbett. "Man-Eater of Kumaon" (1948) tells the tale of a gloomy doctor trying to find himself while hunting big game in India. After wounding a tiger and leaving it, said tiger begins using the natives as tiger chow.

Wendell Corey plays the doctor in a rare lead role for him, Sabu is the other name brand in the cast. Joanne "Joy" Page plays the wife of Sabu, and future member of the blacklist, Morris Carnovsky, lend support. Byron Haskin directs.
