A “deal with the devil” analogy, also known as a Faustian bargain, refers to a situation where someone sacrifices their moral integrity or values in exchange for power, knowledge, or some other form of gain. This concept is rooted in folklore and literature, with one of the most famous examples being the legend of Faust, who made a pact with Mephistopheles (the devil) for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures.
