Episode 40: SFC Chris Fronk

SFC Chris Fronk joined the Army in 1989 into the Signal Corps. He was initially assigned at Fort Carson, Colorado. From there he deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1996 during Operation Joint Endeavor while being assigned to Darmstadt, Germany. He then PCSed to Fort Hood from 1997-1999, and eventually to Camp Carroll in Korea from 1999-2000. He went back to Fort Caron in early of 2001 and ETSed from the Active Duty. In July of 2001, re-enlisted in the Colorado Army National Guard right before 9/11. He was mobilized for deployment with the 143rd Signal Company out of Grand Junction, Colorado and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005. After returning to the United States, he became a Recruiter for the Colorado Army National Guard. In 2015, he met Adam DeRito and learned about his case with the USAF Academy, and found a way for him to serve again and get around the red tape of the Department of Defense. Since leaving the military in 2016, he was worked as a blue collar worker as a tower climber for Battner Energy working on solar and wind turbine sites. In 2019 he transitioned to working in the plumbing, heating, and electric business as an accountant and as an inventory control specialist. Finally in 2023, he retired from his life of service to spend more time with his wife and six children.
