Cori Close was named The Michael Price Family UCLA Women's Head Basketball Coach on April 21, 2011. The 2024-25 campaign will mark Close's 14th season at the helm of the Bruins. Before UCLA, she spent time as an assistant coach at Florida State University and her alma mater, UC Santa Barbara. She was a star player for the UCSB Gauchos, serving as a team captain during the 1992 and 1993 seasons while leading them to the NCAA Tournament both years.
