This occurs during a Coronary Angioplasty technique

During a coronary angioplasty procedure, a thin, flexible tube called a catheter is inserted into a blood vessel, usually in the groin or wrist, and guided to the coronary arteries. A small balloon at the tip of the catheter is then inflated to open up narrowed or blocked sections of the artery, improving blood flow to the heart. In many cases, a stent (a small wire mesh tube) is placed to keep the artery open. The procedure helps relieve symptoms of coronary artery disease and reduces the risk of heart attacks.
