🎵 Blues Song Inspired by Psalm 29 🎵

**Welcome to our rendition of Psalm 29, transformed into a soulful blues song! Dive into the powerful imagery of David’s psalm and experience the majesty of Yahweh’s voice as it echoes through creation.
Original Text from the World English Bible (WEB):

Ascribe to Yahweh, you sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name.
Worship Yahweh in holy array.
Yahweh’s voice is on the waters.
The God of glory thunders, even Yahweh on many waters.
Yahweh’s voice is powerful.
Yahweh’s voice is full of majesty.
Yahweh’s voice breaks the cedars.
Yes, Yahweh breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes them also to skip like a calf;
Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
Yahweh’s voice strikes with flashes of lightning.
Yahweh’s voice shakes the wilderness.
Yahweh shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
Yahweh’s voice makes the deer calve,
and strips the forests bare.
In his temple everything says, “Glory!”
Yahweh sat enthroned at the Flood.
Yes, Yahweh sits as King forever.
Yahweh will give strength to his people.
Yahweh will bless his people with peace.

Blues Song Lyrics:

Verse 1:

Oh, give glory to the Lord,
You sons of the mighty, sing His praise.
Ascribe to Yahweh strength and glory,
Lift your voices all your days.
Worship Yahweh in holy splendor,
In His light, we find our ways.

Chorus:

Yahweh’s voice is on the waters,
The God of glory thunders loud.
His voice is powerful and full of majesty,
Rolling over every cloud.
In His temple, all cry, “Glory!”
As His presence fills the crowd.

Verse 2:

Yahweh’s voice breaks the cedars,
Cedars of Lebanon bow down.
He makes the mountains skip like calves,
As His mighty power resounds.
The wilderness shakes at His command,
Every creature knows His sound.

Chorus:

Yahweh’s voice is full of thunder,
Strikes with lightning in the sky.
The forests tremble, stripped and bare,
As His glory passes by.
In His temple, they sing “Glory!”
As His love and power rise high.

Bridge:

Yahweh sits enthroned forever,
King of kings, Lord of lords.
He gives strength to all His people,
And His peace, like mighty chords.
Blessings flow from His throne above,
In His love, we are restored.

Outro:

So give glory to the Lord,
His mighty voice you can’t deny.
In the thunder and the waters,
He reigns in majesty on high.
Forever we’ll sing His praises,
As His glory fills the sky.
Why David Wrote This Psalm:

David wrote Psalm 29 as a hymn of praise to Yahweh, highlighting His supreme power and majesty over all creation. This psalm uses the imagery of a powerful storm to symbolize God's voice and presence, demonstrating His ability to command nature and bring peace to His people. David's intention was to remind the Israelites of Yahweh's authority and to encourage them to worship Him with reverence and awe.
