The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood shortage

Heatwaves have disrupted nearly 100 blood drives, leading to a shortfall of over 19,000 donations last month. As a result, some blood products are being sent to hospitals faster than they are being donated. To help, visit the Red Cross website, use their blood donor app, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS to make an appointment; donors who donate by August 31 will receive a $20 Amazon gift card by email.
