Tropical Storm Debby drenched Florida on Monday, causing at least four deaths and threatening southeastern US states with heavy rainfall and catastrophic flooding.

A 13-year-old boy died when a tree fell on a mobile home in Levy County, while a truck driver was killed after his vehicle plunged into a canal in Hillsborough County.

Additionally, a 38-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy died in a car crash in Dixie County.

Debby, which made landfall as a Category One hurricane, is expected to move into Georgia overnight and approach the South Carolina coast by Thursday, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

The NHC warned of a level four risk for excessive rainfall, predicting prolonged extreme rainfall and potential catastrophic flooding in coastal areas of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reported that 250,000 residents were without power and urged caution, Breitbart News has reported.
