AD&D Spells - Heat Metal - 2nd Level Druid Spell

his week I go over a spell that most people try to use in different ways, the heat metal spell, but could the reverse be more deadly?

By means of the heat metal spell, the druid is able to excite the molecules of ferrous metal (iron, iron alloys, steel) and thus cause the affected metal to become hot.
