STRONG Box Office Hold for Deadpool & Wolverine | Marvel’s Path to Fix the MCU

Deadpool & Wolverine had a solid second weekend hold at the global box office bringing its total revenue to $824 million.

Already Deadpool & Wolverine has surpassed the global box office for the first two Deadpool movies and is currently the third highest grossing R rated movie of all time not adjusting for inflation. Much of the praise for the film has to deal with the fact the filmmakers were being faithful to the source material and not trying to cast it aside to push a political message. This is a stark contact to last year’s The Marvels which became the lowest grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, film which is largely attributed to DEI getting in the way.
