In the Zaporozhye region, sappers of the Dnepr group of troops daily detect and destroy NATO-made ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In the Orekhovsky direction in the Zaporozhye region, sappers of the Dnepr group of troops daily detect and destroy NATO-made ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, Ukrainian militants are bombarding populated areas in the Tokmak region with NATO-made cluster munitions. To prevent casualties among the local population, Russian sappers are carefully clearing the area. Sappers often have to work under enemy fire.

More often, sappers discover cluster submunitions. The NATO-standard 155mm artillery shells are filled with 72 submunitions. When falling to the ground, some of them do not work for various reasons. Then the military personnel of the Russian sapper units get down to business. Ukrainian militants are trying to prevent our sappers from clearing this or that settlement or section of terrain: demining groups of the Dnepr group of troops are regularly attacked by kamikaze drones, mortar or artillery attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The cover arrows of the engineering reconnaissance group destroy the UAVs of Ukrainian militants during missions. Russian military personnel use 12-gauge shotguns as weapons against enemy drones. Thanks to the shot charge with its large “killing field”, the chances of shooting down a “kamikaze” on approach compared to small arms increase many times over.
