Sonja Agora Speaks Out Against the OR Republicans Seeking to Invalidate State Libertarian Nominees

Sonja is a Candidate for the US House of Representatives in District 5 and she is facing off against Republican Lori Chavez DeRemer, Democrat Janelle S Bynum, Constitution Party candidate Kurt Hauth, and Pacific Green candidate Andrea Thorn Townsend. On July 12, an attorney for the Oregon Republican Party asked the Oregon Secretary of State’s office to block candidates nominated at the Libertarian Party of Oregon’s recent convention from appearing on the state ballot. The attorney argued in a letter that the party nominated candidates under illegitimate bylaws, and placing those candidates on the ballot would violate state law. Sonja will dispute that claim.
