Researchers are sending a dozen remotely-controlled Saildrones into the ocean off the coast of the United States to help track and better understand hurricanes. NBC News’ Priya Sridhar travels into the Gulf of Mexico as one of these 23-foot devices packed with cameras and sensors is released to begin its mission.
