Massive NYC fire engulfs 7 homes; 11 firefighters injured

A massive fire in Queens on Saturday afternoon injured 14 people, including 11 firefighters, and damaged multiple buildings, displacing dozens of residents.

The blaze started at a two-story residence on Francis Lewis Boulevard in Queens Village and quickly escalated to five alarms, spreading to seven buildings.

Over 200 firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics responded, bringing the fire under control in about two hours.

Most injuries were minor and heat-related, requiring treatment at local hospitals, the New York Post has reported.
