Object 478DU proposed by Ukraine for Pakistan in the first half of the 90s. It is essentially a T-80UD on the T-64 chassis.

The T-80UD was undoubtedly the best vehicle of the USSR. Its turret armour package (comparable to the upper frontal part), consisting of БТК-1 rolled armour plates and cellular filler together with Kontakt-5 ERA, allowed for protection equivalent of 670-700mm against kinetic ammunition (without ERA).
The T-64, on the base of which it was decided to install the entire T-80UD turret, it was hard to withstand all this mass.
In favour of the T-80UD, the T-64B was removed from production, and the weight limit for the T-64 chassis was 42.4 tonnes in the T-64BV modification.
In the USSR, the T-64 tanks did not receive the inbuilt Kontakt-5 ERA system. Of course, the rollers could withstand even more, but against the background of higher mass, the service life deteriorated greatly.

The vehicle lost 2 tonnes in weight (it weighed 44 tonnes) compared to the full T-80UD and was tested in Pakistan, where the main drawbacks of the T-64 running gear became apparent. That is why Pakistan preferred the full-fledged T-80UD rather than this mutant.
