Floods and mudslides in southwest China prompt evacuations

Evacuations were taking place in a city in southern China’s Sichuan province while some residents in Hunan province were facing water shortages following floods and mudslides, state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) reported on Sunday (August 4).
