Ep #206 - The Challenges of Creating World-Class Teams

In this week's episode, I discuss the importance of building great teams, inspired by the Paris Olympics. I highlight the Australian Matildas' early exit due to poor leadership and contrast it with the successful Australian men's and women's water polo teams, praised for their strong internal relationships.

The key elements for great teams are trust and caring, which create a deep bond and transform groups into cohesive units. Effective leadership requires self-awareness and choosing the right model that suits your personality. When selecting team members, prioritise attitude over skill, as good leadership can turn average individuals into excellent team players.

I emphasise the need to think differently about recruitment and leadership, rejecting the herd mentality. Speaking the truth and avoiding BS fosters trust and respect within teams. I also address the broader spiritual battle we face, where integrity is crucial in standing up against evil.

This week's guest on my TNT radio show, Mark Worthington, discusses his book, "From Pain to Possibility," exploring the spiritual journey and the role of passion in building courage. Tune in for this enlightening discussion.
