'Organeyez' Original Art Painting Timelapse 8-3-24

I made this piece during a low point of volatility in my personal life. One thing about my art practice is that it helps sustain me during turbulent times. It has always been that way throughout my life. That is one of the reasons why I will always continue with my art practice, because I know that I always take it with me wherever I go, and it will always be a way for me to express myself and work through things, and it stands as a sort of personal historical record of where I have been, how I have grown, what I have experienced, which I keep just for myself. An interesting thing about this painting is that I had made the sketch for it a number of years ago. I like to periodically go through my old notebooks and sketchbooks. I can get reinspired by something which was simple or pointless or even an afterthought at one time. But for whatever reason, sometimes we see things in a new light and they become appealing or significant to us again or in a way which they were not before. For whatever reason, I felt like painting this old sketch. This is one example of how the creative process is really not a linear thing, it is actually very nonlinear for me. This painting idea is really is just a silly play on words, but of course the heart as a symbol is quite rich and embedded with a lot of meaning. Perhaps it is just a reminder to always stay organized! Not just in your physical environment, but also emotionally, internally, physiologically, and however else!
