Killjoy's Exploits: Rise of The Robots [SNES] (Complete Run)

KEP-4: This is a complete run of the SNES [Super Nintendo Entertainment System / Super Famicom] version of the infamous 1990s synthetica brawler "Rise of The Robots", one of the most notorious games of all time and the first true example of an extremely overhyped and over marketed [by the British gaming magazines of the day - indeed the overwhelmingly negative reception to the game once the gamers finally had the chance to play the bloody thing proved the nail that sealed the coffin on the British gaming magazine industry as they had effectively lost the trust of the gamers of the day] behemoth that looked surprisingly impressive on EVERY SINGLE platform it was released on [yes, even the Game Gear handheld] but in just about every platform it played like absolute dog-hitsa [although curiously the Game Gear version actually played surprisingly well, which is quite the surprise...], with the fighting mechanics so utterly broken and the complete lack of a move list [you only have a punch and a kick, two "special" moves that are entered counter-intuitively and absolutely bugger-all for anything more than that, oh and those special moves can be manually deactivated through the options in the main menu, which is indeed a special kind of bullhitsa only Satan can approve of] conspiring to remove any trace of fun from this game.

The roster of opponents for this game comprise the same six Robots present in every version of this game, although this SNES port has you fight each one once instead of rematching you against the first four as some other versions tend to do, comprising of the following:

1): The Loader - the infamous forklift that knows kung-fu.
2): The Builder - a robot ape that has a reputation for being a coward.
3): The Crusher - an insectoid design that likes to literally apply a blender to the nuts between your legs.
4): The Military - Fancy moves, weaker than cardboard.
5): The Sentry - a man-sized Gundam, looks rather cool but is mostly bluster.
6): The Supervisor - The Big Boss, a female T-1000 with a narcissistic personality although she has a literally killer body and I heard she is an assassin in the bedroom.

This playthrough was completed in one unbroken take using the ZSNES emulator for Windows, recorded using the XBox Game Bar Video Capture software on my Windows 10 22H2 system on my Acer Aspire 3 laptop ["Cerberus Alpha"] on the 26th February of 2024. I used a cheat code for God Mode [complete invulnerability] that is entered on the main menu using the SNES controller [obviously emulated on my system] & if you want to know the code, I hid it in the index picture for this playthrough [look carefully]. I did boost the soundtrack for the playthrough so it sounds louder and more dynamic than the original, but due to an inefficient sound driver on the capture software there will be some slight distortion present that I cannot fix.

I hope you enjoy this playthrough...
