We ultimately have the choice of how we want to live our lives. The thing is that if we decide to live our lives for God and make our heart’s desire about doing what He wants in our lives, He blesses our lives way more than if we tried to just do everything for ourselves. We have to make the decisions daily to put off the worldly lusts and desires and follow Him. It truly is the greatest way to run this race of life.

Ephesians 4:22-24 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
