3.9 miles (6.3 km) - the length of the Chalfont & Latimer to Chesham branch of the Metropolitan Line in Buckinghamshire. It’s one of the few single track sections of route left on the Underground network and was built as part of a more ambitious scheme to link the Metropolitan Railway with the LNWR’s main line out of London Euston at Tring that failed to fully materialise.
