Missoula Co. commissioners discuss preliminary FY25 budget

Missoula County commissioners had a chance to look over the preliminary budget for fiscal year 2025.

Right now, the budget would be $131,154,773 for FY25. That’s less than $10 million less than FY2024, which was at $142,036,566. However, personnel expenses rose just shy of $5 million from the previous year.

Challenges the county hopes to tackle with the budget include retention of key services, improving public infrastructure and increasing community engagement.
