Luck comes in all different shapes and sizes and it is situational to every individual’s upbringing, skillset and circumstances. To some degree, you also make your own luck in life. Intuitive thinking and taking risks can help to set you apart from your competition.

Having the mindset of saying “I don’t care what you think, I am going to do it anyway” in business, may work up until a point. However, when you start to build great teams you begin to realise that this mindset cannot continue as you need to build the amalgamation of all the ideas around you. You need to then take those ideas and morphe them into a vision and then learn to communicate them in an eloquent and inspiring way. You have to be able to learn new skills very quickly and be open-minded with them.

You cannot let your failures define you. Some people will allow you to believe that they have never failed, and they tend to be the ones that don’t perform as well. Be open about failure and encourage that within your business.

One of the most fundamental truths in growing your business is that the more responsibility you take on, the more meaning your life will have. When you have people reporting to you, you work for them. You need to be there for them, support them and give them the tools to allow them to succeed. You end up working in overdrive to support the people reporting to you.

Within a team, you need different people to form a great team. However, they should all be highly motivated people, that are good human beings that want to create a change within the world.
