Forever Knight is a 1992 - 1996 Canadian television series about Nick Knight (Geraint Wyn Davies), an 800-year-old vampire working as a police detective in modern-day Toronto, Ontario. Wracked with guilt for centuries of killing others, he seeks redemption by working as a homicide detective on the night shift while struggling to find a way to become human again.
S1E03 - For I Have Sinned
Nick and Schanke investigate a series of gruesome crimes against women. When medical examiner Natalie finds crosses on the women's bodies, Nick flashes back to 15th century France where he encountered Joan of Arc (Christina Cox). Linking the crimes to the Catholic Church, Nick attempts to find the killer but is prevented by his aversion to crosses and a priest (Michael McManus) determined to keep confessions sacred.
