Miu claims he was acting in self-defense while being harassed and pushed by a group of teens. The teens falsely claimed Miu was "looking for little girls" at the river. Miu claimed he was looking for his phone which triggered the altercation. Miu was convicted in April of first-degree reckless hom*cide, four counts of recklessly endangering safety, and one count of battery. During her impact statement, the victim's mother requested that Miu be punished with the maximum sentence of 100 years.
