The FBI has clarified that its interview with Donald Trump is part of an attempted murder investigation, not an inquiry into Secret Service failures during a recent incident.

This revelation has sparked discussions about the roles and responsibilities of various government agencies, particularly the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, in ensuring the security of high-profile political events like the Republican National Convention (RNC).

“We're all talking and hearing from the wrong people. Who should we be hearing from? Alejandro Mayorkas. DHS is who sits over a secret service. Mayorkas is the one who designates the RNC as a national security event. Mayorkas seems to be the person that was okay with the head of his secret service, going to Aspen for the entire week of the RNC… where is the inspector general of DHS that's their IAB that's who needs to be looking at this.“

The situation has raised questions about transparency and accountability in government security protocols, with some experts suggesting that answers may be hard to come by.
