Ducks enjoy a nice morning meal

Mallard ducks are dabbling ducks that feed by tipping forward in the water to reach aquatic plants, insects, and small fish. They need water to feed, as their diet primarily consists of items found in and around bodies of water. Without access to water, mallard ducks would struggle to find the food they need to survive and thrive.
