Is methane or natural gas that bad of a climate change problem?

#Methane or #NaturalGas from natural sources have the potential to contribute to much more #GHGemissions than ones from man-made sources such as enteric fermentation from #cattle, oil and gas #pipelines that leak and #naturalgasapplicances. The #methanetax charges around $1000 per ton of methane released and is the responsibility of the oil and gas industry to pay according to the #InflationReductionAct. Methane compared to #carbondioxide is not as much of a climate change problem because much less of it is emitted on Earth and it breaks down within 10 - 20 years also because it has more sinks that get rid of it.T
