Road Caucus for Asia-Pacific (BRICAP), the Pakistan Institute of International Relations and Media (PIIRM), and Associate Editor of Taihe Observer in Beijing.

Dr. Wren is a regular guest on China Global Television Network (CGTN), Bloomberg TV and
Singapore CNA current affairs programs and regular commentator for CGTN’s Beijing Hour and World Today radio programs. He is also a regular contributor to the China Daily, Global Times, Khmer Times and many other international media outlets. Dr. Wren is a sought after public speaker and regular guest for interviews, conferences, seminars and public information events.

Dr. Wren has taught International Relations, History and Politics, China and ASEAN Area Studies, Media and Communications, Academic Research design and Writing, and Intercultural Understanding at a number of universities in China and elsewhere. Current research activities include Global Political Economy, Lancang/Mekong Riparian Relations, Environmental Diplomacy, Social Relations and Economic Development, Southeast Asian and East Asian Relations, China's Belt and Road Initiative, China-Australia Relations, China-US Relations, Geoeconomics and Geo-politics and International Education Partnerships.
