Attorney General Ken Paxton secured the largest ever settlement from an action brought by a single State and the largest privacy settlement an Attorney General has ever obtained. Meta will have to pay $1.4 billion for using facial recognition technology with out users' permissions.
AG Paxton saying,
"This serves as a warning to any companies engaged in practices that violate Texans’ privacy rights."
