NEW Doctor Doom is NOT Who Marvel Claims

At San Diego Comic Con Marvel announced Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, as Doctor Doom and not Tony Stark / Iron Man; however, some sources are beginning to swirl about who will really be playing Doctor Doom.

According to the latest rumors Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen will actually be playing the long-time villain to the Fantastic Four with Robert Downey Jr. taking on the role of an alternative variant and likely Tony Stark again. Much of this comes down to the fact Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly getting paid around $100 million to return to the MCU which seems like a high amount for a villain role or cameo. Viggo Mortensen will also be a better fit for the role, especially since many Marvel fans are not happy with Robert Downey Jr. returning as a different character.
