British revolt after multiple children stabbed

Days of chaos have gripped the British town of Southport after multiple children were stabbed to death, only for tensions to completely boil over when another attacker apparently turned up to a vigil for one of the victims. The children were attending a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class on Monday when a man armed with a knife entered and began slashing at anyone he could find. Three girls, aged six, seven and nine died of their injuries. Five other children, and two adults who tried to protect them, remain in hospital and are said to be in critical condition.

After the third child died of her injuries, grieving families gathered at the site of the attack for a vigil, only for another man, wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife, to attempt a repeat of Monday’s atrocities. This was enough to tip much of the town well past breaking point. The insistence of the police and the media of referring to the attacker as a ‘man from Cardiff’ despite being, according to locals, a son of illegal immigrants from Rwanda, a heavy-handed police response seemingly at odds with recent police capitulations, the refusal to brand the premeditated stabbing of eight children as a terror attack, and the second attacker being of Arabic appearance all combined to see Southport descend into riots as townsfolk and others clashed with police well into the evening
