Today marks day 173 of my sobriety journey, and I decided to listen to Bob Marley and the Wailers live at the Rainbow from June 4th, 1977. Bob Marley’s music has always been a source of inspiration and peace for me, and this performance is no exception. His timeless songs and powerful messages resonate deeply.

Before and after the video, I want to share my thoughts on addiction meetings. While they are undeniably important, I find myself getting tired of the same repetitive discussions. Meetings are crucial for those struggling with addiction, but we need more levels to them.

Once we are sober, what comes next? I think it would be incredibly beneficial to have meetings that focus on different themes, such as achieving personal goals, finding success in various aspects of life, and learning from those who have walked the path before us. Just staying sober is not enough for me. I want to create, to grow, and to listen to people who can share more than just the basics of staying sober.

Bob Marley’s music reminds me of the endless possibilities that life offers. His songs are not just about survival but about living fully and passionately. I believe that, just like Marley’s music, our recovery journey should also aim for more – more growth, more creativity, and more fulfilment.
