Aaron Hermes, a native of Austin, Texas, brings a unique background to the political landscape as a 4th generation Austinite with a diverse cultural heritage. Born in 1979, he embodies a true Texan spirit with Jewish ancestry on his mother's side, tracing back to survivors of Nazi Germany, and Lebanese Catholic and German roots on his father's side, both immigrating to Texas in the late 1800s. Hermes grew up in Houston, navigating the challenges of his parents' divorce at an early age and finding his identity as an independent spirit, free-thinker, and artist. He has been a resident of the 18th District for over 26 years, having moved there at the age of 18.

Aaron's journey is marked by self-reliance and determination, putting himself through school and supporting himself without external assistance. His experiences, including witnessing the 9/11 attacks in New York City, profoundly impacted his worldview and ignited a commitment to the American spirit of unity and resilience. Hermes also found success in his musical pursuits, specializing in the Indian sitar and performing for dignitaries and politicians, including members of Congress.

Despite lacking a legal background, Aaron Hermes possesses a sharp legal mind and expresses a commitment to serve the people. Running for U.S. Congress in Texas CD 18, he emphasizes his dedication to addressing pressing issues and navigating the complexities of Congress to restore the republic. Aaron positions himself as a man of the people with a substantial intellect and a compassionate heart, pledging to represent the district with integrity and without compromise. His campaign focuses on transparency, core objectives, and a steadfast dedication to the principles he holds dear.
