Invasive Bush-honeysuckle: Mechanical Removal (pt. 2) - Cutting the Bushes

This video goes into the actually cutting of the brush using the Stihl Kombimotor 131R (now after breakage of connection pin after 13 acres I upgraded to a Trimmer/Brushcutter full shaft model FS 131R, not shown in video). I take a moment to describe why I cut my stubs to a certain height, and the tradeoff's in forest floor obstacles vs ease of removal.

Please keep in mind that you will be using a machine with a fast moving saw blade. It is important to use all safety gear suggested to reduce the chances of injury or death. I personally use steel or composit toe boots, the Stihl ProMark helmet with the faceshield and ear protection, safety glasses under the face shield, the full shoulder harness (and plan to upgrade to the foresters harness with the waist belt connection point) leather gloves with padding, and sometimes when working in areas with lots of bramble I will put on my chaps for the brush saw as well. All of these Items can be found at Stihl's website where you can find your local dealer.
