The Wii U and 3DS eShops were closing on 03/27/2023. We had a full year to prepare for this and yet somehow I was still caught off guard.

However, one man decided that fans deserved to have one last final blowout of these systems.

Despite not finishing all seven games promised for the Wii U and 3DS, we got six.

I've been watching this story, and Jerrel Dulay, play out over the last 12 months. It has been an real eye-opener to the development process and just how Wii U and 3DS games are made. I have a new found respect for the game creation process. I take all games with a grain of salt since several factors can hinder the development process, even if the developer does everything right.

This milestone is nothing short of colossal. Dulay ranks up there as an all-time great for what he accomplished this year.

And a special thanks to Nintendo. Because in Dulay's words, "they held the door open for as long as they could.
