Park fire: Ex-con accused of starting fire charged with arson | LiveNOW from FOX

Ronnie Stout, the California man accused of starting the Park Fire has been charged with felony arson, according to court records.

The Park fire has burned over 370,000 acres, making it the sixth-largest wildfire of all time in California and largest fire currently burning in the U.S. CAL Fire said the wildfire has so far destroyed more than 100 structures, including homes and businesses, with at least five others receiving damage.

Prosecutors say Stout was seen pushing a burning car down a gully in Butte County, spreading flames that caused the Park Fire.

Stout has two previous "strike" felony convictions, which makes him eligible for California's "Three Strike" law, according to the Butte County District Attorney's office.

CAL Fire said more than 4,800 firefighters have descended upon Northern California to help contain and extinguish the Park Fire.

Those resources include helicopters and aircraft that have been dumping water and fire retardant on the flames, as well as the hundreds of firefighters on the ground building fire lines and spraying the flames with water in the hopes of stopping the Park Fire in its tracks. #livefromfox #foxnews #breakingnews #topstories #politicalnews #globalnews #worldaffairs #newsalert #republicans #biden #trumptrain #israel #freepalestine #trump #news
