The fox trot is one of the ambling/smooth gaits. It is a diagonal gait meaning that the diagonal pairs of legs move MOSTLY together but the front foot touches ground just before the hind foot in that diagonal pair. Because this video is shot in slow motion you can see that if you observe closely. Diagonal pairs moving MOSTLY together - left front & right hind - right front & left hind - front hoof always landing just a wee bit before hind foot in its diagonal pair - that is the Fox Trot. The Fox Trot is a quite smooth gait and is very good for hilly country.

Josie is riding Romeo the 11 yr old fox trotting TWH. Most TWH nowadays to the Running Walk as their second gait. In the past some TWH could do BOTH the Running Walk and also the Fox Trot. Romeo does not naturally do the Running Walk but does naturally do the Fox Trot.

Remember to intentionally, on purpose, learn of God each day by prayerfully reading, studying, and pondering upon God's word each day. Talk to God in prayer as your Heavenly Father who would like for you to be His friend. Find out what He would like you to do for Him as His friend and go and do it for Him as His friend. Yes very intentionally, very much on purpose, become the friend of God. And have a blessed day!!
