Transformational Festivals Transforming Culture – Steve Matthews

The spiritual landscape has changed dramatically in recent years. One of the more popular draws today is "Transformational Festivals," where attendees gather to seek personal and spiritual transformation at outdoor counterculture events lasting several days. The largest of these is "Burning Man," a week-long annual festival held on a desert lakebed in northwest Nevada. Here, "burners" gather to experience community, artwork, and spirituality in an environment fostering "radical self-expression" by attendees. Is it adding to the reshaping of culture, or is it being reshaped by culture?
