CENSORSHIP ON YOUTUBE: I'm incredibly disappointed that Youtube decided to remove my channel over this video. This video had helped me gain 50 new subscribers and sparked meaningful engagement across the political spectrum. As a startup, it's tough to grow an audience, and for YouTube to cut me off without any explanation is disheartening. I have a research master's in communication science and have studied misinformation for four years. The fact that they claimed I was spreading misinformation based on a 6-minute video is absolutely ridiculous.

My friend Chiara put it perfectly: "As I pointed out to you in person, it’s utterly outrageous that with thousands of channels featuring conspiracy, pseudoscience, and outright blatant misinformation, YOURS was targeted out of all. A channel backed by strong science and verified information that offered an educated perspective. Really sparks questions on the criteria that YT uses to silence voices, and whose interests this serves. I’m truly dumbfounded. Keep doing your great work, my friend. You know you’re doing it well when you’re getting such a reaction!" 💪

In addition, my friend Harry perfectly captured my frustration: "Yeah, it’s so true. The giants in the market are scrambling to deal with new media’s challenge to their supremacy, whilst the distributors of the new media (like YouTube) have incoherent policies on misinformation that feel punitive to anyone attempting to produce anything other than neutral content."

They didn’t even tell me what the misinformation was! Not accepting an appeal where I stated it was based on research? Insane. As Harry said, "They have the freedom to rob people of their platforms and livelihoods without sincere justification, subsequently ruining any marketplace of ideas on the site and driving away both progressive and conservative voices into their own echo chambers. It’s so toxic. Plus, what are you meant to do other than cite your sources and present that argument? It’s doing nothing more than silencing debate and polarising people."

Thus, I am truly upset. They cannot censor like this, and Fox was right about this, it is such a huge theme in the populism movement. The second platforms ban free speech or regulate content, for example, they can pay off Meta to censor content about genocide, but I get my channel removed over misinformation.

Find out how FOX News shaped this narrative and how Democrats unwittingly fueled these beliefs. Read here: https://www.isitallgoodpolitics.com/usa_politics/why-republicans-think-election-was-stolen-in-2020
