Just a few days ago during Bible reading I came across a verse about the Sadducees. As I was about to go on reading I felt strangely compelled to stop and look again. I remember of course years ago I did my studies into who the Sadducees were and for some reason I had forgotten.

I could not go any further reading, instead I read about who they were and what they were about from a search. What I found out was no doubt a prompting of the Lord.

They were a Jewish religio-political party sect of Judaism. They were made up of wealthy upper-class aristocrats, merchants, and high priests mostly from Jerusalem who were influenced in politics, society and religion.

They also tended to have good relations with the Roman rulers of Palestine. The also made up most of the 70 seats of the Sanhedrin which was the ruling council. What discovered about them strikingly compared and mimicked NAR pastors, prophets, doctrines and their religio-political beliefs and behavior.

I knew there was a reason the Lord directed me to do some studies on them at this precise, significant point of time. Jesus Christ is coming again so soon to set up His Millennial Kingdom of Righteousness.

Now is the time to give all to the Lord in faithfulness to one eternal government that is now and will soon "rest upon His shoulders."
