(The Incredible Sustaining Power of God Despite Our Many Troubles)
Text: Psalms 3

Objective: that the brethren may trust the Lord even in difficult times

Intro:
Define – Life, incredible, sustain, power, despite, trouble, “bugbog”

In Times of troubles we must realize and understand:
1. Realize that many troubles we have are self-inflicted – v.1
a. Context – murder and rebellion of Absalom
b. Sins and Negligence in OUR part
2. Troubles Can Pile Up – vv. 1 - 2
a. “increased”, “rise up against”
b. “no help” – no allies, no friends seemingly
c. v.6 – ten thousands
3. The Lord Can Lift You Up – v.3
a. “lifting of head” – God can and will help – “shield”
b. v.5 – He can sustain us
4. You must call upon the Lord – v.4
a. Accept the fact that you can’t do it without Him
b. “out of His Holy Hill” – position of God compared to us
c. v.7-8 – Salvation is of God – Trust and Call upon Him
i. in prayer, in planning, in action

Message/conclusion:

Let us trust the Lord even in difficult times, call upon Him for Salvation
