Katie Ledecky shared her thoughts on winning the bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle at a press conference following the final in Paris.

"It was a tough competition, and there was a possibility I might not have won a medal, so I'm thankful for this outcome. I'm proud of my effort and excited about my upcoming races," Ledecky remarked.

"I don't think I've recently achieved my best in the 400, but I know I have it in me."

She also spoke about her training experiences with athletes like Bobby Finke and Kieran Smith, becoming emotional as she highlighted the significance of her support system in her swimming career.

"It's an incredible group, and it's a big part of why I love this sport. I get to train every day with Bobby, Kieran, my coaches, and everyone who believes in me and pushes me. The confidence I had today is thanks to them," Ledecky said.
