Let's Paint Greece! WIP of Sea, Rocks & Seagull Series #2

Today I'm working on the second painting in my new series of the beautiful Aegean sea here on this tiny Greek island. The focus is on the spectacular rock formations of large and small rocks that all seem to point upwards, creating a lookout spot for the seagulls to land and rest on. I'm loving the calm sea and learning to paint the clear waters without using hardly any blue paint.

It is beautiful to let go of our ideas and to paint what we see, rather than what we think we see.
