Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah 3 – September 1971 – 27 July 2024 is reported to have slumped and died in a hotel in London. Mbah was a Nigerian politician and businessman and served as a senator representing Anambra South senatorial district until his passing.

Ubah served as a senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District until his death. Mbah was the CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), founded in 2001. Capital Oil facilities and outlets are located mostly in the Southeast and Southwest of Nigeria with one of the largest Tank farms for petroleum products and storage distribution in Lagos.

Biafrans were united across the spectrum in their mixed reactions to his death because Ubah was suspected of having loaned his aircraft to Nigeria for the extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in June 2021. He is also suspected of plotting to have Mazi Simon Ekpa kidnapped or worse.

Senator Mbah and his family members are reported to have been involved in the kidnap of Chris Ngige which left Anambra State without a governor for 3 months. Chris Ngige wrote about his ordeal in an article dated 16 August 2020 for ThisDay – CHRIS NGIGE: The True Story of My 2003 Abduction.

Ifeanyi Mbah was the first son of 7 children to Mr & Mrs Alphonsus Ubah in Otolo, one of the 4 quarters of Nnewi in Anambra State. Ifeanyi is said to have dropped out of Premiere Academy, Lugbe, Abuja to learn a trade at a young age. He attended several local and international business courses and leadership and business management seminars.

He is survived by his wife, Uchenna Ubah and five children.
