The Violence in Bangladesh

Greetings World.

We are Anonymous.

In disturbing and unsettling news.

The number of arrests in days of violence in Bangladesh, has passed the 2,500 mark, in a students protest on Tuesday July 23, 2024, over employment quotas that sparked widespread unrest.

Over 200 people have died, including several police officers, according to a separate count of victims reported by police and hospitals.

What began as peaceful demonstrations against politicized admission quotas for sought-after government jobs, snowballed last week into some of the worst unrest of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's tenure.

A curfew was imposed and soldiers were deployed across the South Asian country, and a nationwide internet blackout drastically restricted the flow of information, upending daily life for many.

The Supreme Court pared back the number of reserved jobs for specific groups, including the descendants of "freedom fighters" from Bangladesh's 1971 liberation war against Pakistan.

There was a heavy military presence in Dhaka, with bunkers set up at some intersections, and key roads were blocked with barbed wire.

But more people were on the streets, as were hundreds of rickshaws.

36 unmarked graves can be seen in Rayer Bazar cemetery in Dhaka. Those graves were dug out between Friday July 19, 2024, in the late hours of the night, and Tuesday July 23, 2024, in the late hours of the night also.

The bodies came from Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, Dhaka Medical College, and Mitford Hospital.

The cemetery staff are saying, that they have never seen so many unidentified bodies in their life.

Over 200 students have been killed by the Bangladeshi police, military personnel, and Chhatra League goons. The death toll is much higher, and they are doing everything they can to bury the dead in unmarked graves.

And we stand in solidarity with the students in Bangladesh.

To the corrupt dictator from Bangladesh.

Especially the one called Sheikh Hasina.

Expect all of us.
