Today marks day 170 of my sobriety journey, and it has been a day of deep reflection and connection with nature. Before diving into the music, I shared some video clips of my dogs and a curious monkey on the roof. I also showcased Unawatuna Beach, which is very close to my home. It was once one of the most famous beaches in Sri Lanka, though I'm not sure if it still holds that title.

A more somber part of my day involved dealing with a distressing incident last night. My dogs caught a jungle cat and hurt it badly. It was suffering, and I had to make the tough decision to put it out of its misery. It was an awful experience, and it didn't feel good to do it, but I couldn't let it suffer a slow death. It's the harsh reality of jungle life here in Sri Lanka, whether we like it or not.

After dealing with the day's events, I turned to music for comfort. I'm a big fan of Adele, and she is not an easy artist to cover. Gabriel Henrique did an incredible job with his amazing voice. He truly has the ability to sing the life out of any song, and his technical prowess is undeniable. However, I found myself longing for a deeper emotional connection. I want to believe the emotions when people sing, to feel that they are living the song they are performing. Despite this, it was still an amazing cover.

The combination of nature and music has been incredibly therapeutic for me on this sobriety journey. Even in the face of difficult situations, I find strength and solace in these moments. Gabriel Henrique's music, in particular, has been a source of inspiration and emotional support.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Your support means the world to me, and I'm grateful for every day of sobriety. Let's continue to find strength in each other and in the beauty that surrounds us.
