An Oklahoma City Police Officer is recovering after being shot in a standoff in northwest Oklahoma City on July 2.

The graphic video shows officers arriving on scene, after they responded to a call about a man holding a gun to someone’s head inside of a NW Oklahoma City home.

Authorities identified the suspect as Kavon Ragan.

Officers are seen talking to Ragan, shortly before things escalate.

Sgt. Josh Scott was shot by Ragan.

Police say after Ragan shot the officer, he went back in the house and refused to come out.

This turned the incident into an hours-long standoff.

After several hours, Oklahoma City Police said Ragan refused to surrender, shooting dozens of rounds out of windows, and still firing at officers.

Another sergeant was able to get a clear shot of Ragan and opened fire. The shot killed Ragan.

The rest of the family inside, and surrounding neighbors, were not injured.

Officials were able to evacuate the home Ragan was in.
